DOGS IN CAFES – GOOD OR BAD?

“Hey there, wonderful dog-loving community! 🐾 We’re currently enjoying the typical rainy day in our sunny Bournemouth, and it’s got us thinking about something close to every pup parent’s heart. Our beloved JET, the Chihuahua extraordinaire, recently joined us for a weekend getaway in Cambridge. To our surprise, not every town shares the same warm embrace for our four-legged companions. Can you believe there was an entire shopping center that didn’t allow our furry friends to step inside? 😲

WOULD YOU PREFER OUR FURRY FAMILY MEMBERS TO STAY OUTSIDE OF CAFES?
Now, we want to hear from you! Share your insights and thoughts about the presence of dogs in cafes. In our little haven of Bournemouth, every cafe seems to welcome our canine pals with open arms, but it’s not the same everywhere. What’s your take on enjoying a cup of coffee with a furry friend by your side?

ARE YOU THE TYPE OF DOG LOVER WHO THINKS DOGS SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO ENJOY THEIR CUPPA AT THE CAFE TABLE WITH YOU?
Do you think cafes should be more dog-friendly, or are you more of a solo-sipper kind of person? Your opinions truly matter, and we’re all ears (and tails)! Let’s spark up a conversation about the charm of having our dogs accompany us in cafes. Share your thoughts, experiences, and any quirky tales you’ve had while enjoying a cuppa with your canine companion. Don’t worry if you want to stay anonymous; we’re an open-minded, friendly, and non-judgmental Dog Newspaper, welcoming all perspectives. Cheers to our fabulous dog-loving community!

Subject I’m not too sure about . I would take my pair in an outside pub garden if it was not too busy but don’t think they could handle an inside cafe especially with other dogs in there . Too many people too stressful for my little divas

I guess as long as the cafe is cool with it, and the dog is well-behaved and not disrupting the peace, why not? It could create a more welcoming atmosphere. But, there should definitely be some ground rules in place.

I think it really depends on the situation. I mean, I love dogs; they’re adorable and bring so much joy. But in cafes? Hmmm, it’s a bit of a mixed bag for me.

Of course, there are considerations. Well-behaved dogs are a must. No one wants a barking or overly excited pup disrupting the cafe. And hygiene is obviously important, the last thing anyone wants is dog hair in their croissant. LOL

For us dog lovers, having the company of these furry friends can make a nicer overall cafe experience. It’s like getting a little dose of joy with your cake and drink. Many people I think find the presence of dogs to be a mood lifter.

When you take your dogs with you on holiday can’t see the harm having your dog being with you when you need some food as long as they are no trouble xx

It works well in Europe and Mexico and frankly I’d prefer pets than many of the two-legged variety.
