Harvey on Guy Fawkes weekend – Did He Conquer the Bangs?

Well, it’s that time of year again when the skies light up with dazzling fireworks, and our furry friends like Harvey might have mixed feelings about it. As the festive season approaches, so do the fireworks displays, and for many dogs, it’s a time of both awe and anxiety.
Fireworks can be a dazzling spectacle for humans, but they can be quite a nerve-wracking experience for our canine companions.

Many dogs get spooked by the loud noises and bright flashes, and Amanda, a friend of Happy Doggy News, had her reservations about how her beloved Harvey Dog would cope with the unexpected pyrotechnics show last night.
Amanda wrote the previous evening…….
‘Tonight will be a big test for our 6 mth old pup Harvey as the fireworks
will be going off all night I’m sure and tomorrow.
We have been doing work with him for the last couple of weeks to ensure he is not bothered by the loud noises and we cross everything for him.We have a plan to distract him all night and have fun with him as a family so going forward he can be as confident as he has been to everything else he has seen and heard so far in his life as we dnt want a repeat of how our beloved Jasper was as was so upsetting to see him breathing heavily and nearly passing out each bonfire weekend..
Harvey is a gun dog so we hope and pray he passes with flying colours tonight and tomorrow and takes is all in his stride..such a beautiful boy we love him to the moon and back ..our gingerninja!!
Good luck to all the dogs
this bonfire weekend stay safe

Happy Doggy News is thrilled to share the fantastic update on Harvey’s experience during the fireworks night! It sounds like Harvey had a blast of a time, literally and figuratively. Instead of cowering in fear, he embraced the festivities with boundless energy, playing throughout the night. Harvey’s choice of entertainment? None other than his trusty, loud squeaky pigs. 🐖 These little oinkers (sorry we love the word Oinkers for some reason!) were his secret weapon to drown out the noise and keep his spirits high. Harvey’s determination to enjoy the night, despite the fireworks, truly warms our hearts.

But that’s not all! Harvey proved to be an incredibly brave boy. He didn’t let the dazzling fireworks intimidate him. In fact, he even ventured out for a bathroom break while the big 🎆 fireworks were lighting up the skies around him. This kind of resilience deserves a round of applause 👏, and Harvey’s proud dog mom certainly had a heartwarming “proud dog mom moment” ❤️. It’s truly remarkable how our furry friends can surprise us with their courage and adaptability. As Harvey faces another night of fireworks, we’ve got our paws and fingers crossed for another night of no reaction. It looks like the gun dog in him has made him a fearless and fantastic companion! 🐾🐕💥
