REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY – love from our dogs!

Happy Doggy News is extending an invitation to all our beloved doggy readers to take part in a touching tribute for Remembrance Sunday. We want to pay homage to this special day by showcasing the wonderful canine companions who fill our lives with love and joy. Share a photo of your cherished dog with us, and we’ll ensure their picture becomes a meaningful part of this commemorative occasion.
In a remarkable show of loyalty and bravery, over 18,000 dogs comprising various breeds like border collies, terriers, retrievers, lurchers, English sheepdogs, and a diverse mix, stepped up to serve during the First World War. They assumed vital roles as scouts, messengers, and searchers, providing invaluable assistance to wounded troops. While some faced tragic ends alongside their handlers amidst the tumultuous artillery bombardments, and others encountered challenges like German snipers or landmines while delivering critical military messages, a significant number of these courageous dogs survived the war, leaving a legacy of resilience and courage.
IN RESPECT FROM ALL OF OUR WONDERFUL DOGS

LOVE AND WOOFS
I’ll be thinking of my beloved Norman this Sunday, now gone 4 months. He was so beloved by everyone he encountered, be it walking around the lake, or when he visited patients as a pet therapy dog for Lutheran. 💔 #Gonebynotforgotten
