Take a little look at this story, we love Dave’ story!
It was actually printed in The Independent newspaper also.
We have made it way shorter and funnier than The Independent offered – we know you will love it!

David Lindsay, a retired builder from Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, thought he had seen it all until one fateful morning when he woke up to a scene straight out of a scary movie.
His seven-month-old bulldog puppy, Harley, had decided to take a bite out of his big toe, leaving it looking like a chew toy that had been through the wringer. The bone was fractured, and the toenail was hanging by a thread.
It was a real-life version of “The Attack of the Killer Puppy!” David’s wife screamed, and he shot up from the couch.
But as luck would have it, this canine crime actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
When David went to the hospital, the doctors found not one, but two blocked arteries in his legs and his toe had been numb from this allowing Mr. Harley to chew away. It would seem that Harley knew there was something not quite right with the toe!
That’s right – the toe-chomping pup had saved his life! Who needs a medical alert bracelet when you have an angel bulldog by your side?
David is now grateful to Harley for the chewed-up toe and is considering enrolling him in medical school. Who knows what other life-saving skills this pup could learn? Forget paw patrol – it’s all about “paw-saving” now!
We love you Harley, you are a very special doggy.
