RESCUED AND GIVEN A WONDERFUL LIFE – BELLA!

This is a really interesting story as it resonates with us at HAPPY DOGGY NEWS. Just to give you a little info about our own little Chihuahua Jet – we rescued Jet at 1 year and three months old. He hadn’t been trained and was new to taking a walk. A lot of people say that they have been lucky and bonded with their dogs immediately, whether having them as a puppy or rescue. It wasn’t quite like that for our family. I loved Jet but for my family it was different.

Jet, however, was able to worm his way into everyone’s hearts. My husband was not a dog lover but fast forward some time and he absolutely loves our boy, taking him out for walks more than I do. He sings to Jet and has him in his office. This has been a story of how you grow to love and then there is no turning back!

When we spoke with Nadine, she had had a similar experience. It was her daughter who wanted a dog she had seen on Facebook. Her daughter contacted the person who had the doggy and agreed that she wanted to take her. Now this particular beautiful little girl called BELLA had had a terrible start in her first few months of life and did not understand what other dogs would already know by the time they are almost one year.

O.K. so BELLA arrives with her new family. Sadly, BELLA has not been ‘potty trained’ and is a very messy little, sweet girl. Although this doesn’t seem a lot, it is difficult when you are not the person who wanted the dog. My own husband took time to understand that Jet needed extra special love and patience before he would settle with us.

If a door opened, BELLA would escape and Nadine and her daughter would have to chase her, having some dangerous experiences. One day BELLA was found dodging the cars at La Zenia Boulevard, luckily a lady in the pub close by recognised BELLA and called Nadine’s daughter.

After a while when Nadine’s daughter started working at night, BELLA grew confident enough to come and sit with Nadine. It had taken around four months for her to trust the whole family.

Fast forward some time and you’ve guessed it!!!!!!!

Nadine’s daughter moved out of her family home and BELLA stayed. She stayed as BELLA and Nadine had found a bond they at first thought they wouldn’t have. They now totally adore each other and they go everywhere together.

Nadine nowadays has another beautiful dog called HARLEY – the above video shows BELLA and HARLEY having some fun together. They play each day and are inseparable siblings.

Today BELLA leads such a wonderful, loved, and active life! She loves going out with brother HARLEY, and they both love going to the cafe that Nadine owns, here they get all the attention any doggy would dream of.

BELLA is better with humans than other dogs (except for HARLEY of course!) and still has a way to go to trust them, she is working on this.

TODAY, BELLA LIVES THE LIFE OF A PRINCESS!

BELLA we understand has a little party trick. When you give her food, she throws it up in the air a few times before eating it – she used to do this with everything and now only with certain foods. Nadine, we wish you many many wonderful days with your beautiful girl BELLA and handsome boy HARLEY. They are obviously so loved and have a really stimulating busy life.
