DOGGY NOSES ARE UNIQUE – this is why!

Believe it or not, your dog has an identifier that is equally as unique as a human fingerprint: his nose!

Seeing doggy photos each and every day at HAPPY DOGGY NEWS, this is something we had never thought about!

Just as a human’s fingerprints are specific to that one person, so too is a dog’s nose highly individual.

No two dog noses are precisely the same!

A careful examination of your dog’s nose will reveal a design that is similar in appearance to a human fingerprint!

Since every dog’s nose print is different, a nose print can indeed be used as a form of identification if your dog becomes lost or stolen? This is something which has been tried before, is also being used today and is being thought of to use on a wider scale!

Look at a dog’s tip of his nose (called the rhinarium) and you’ll see a tapestry of dimples, dots and ridges. Along with the shape of the dog’s nostril openings, the patterns of lines and creases is never the same between two dogs, and together, they are conclusively enough to identify one dog from others.

We tried to inspect our own doggy JET – his nose is black and very difficult to see clearly, so we told him that we are going to get some non toxic paint and do a little nose print picture! We convinced him he was unique anyway!

WE WERE SENT IN THOUSANDS OF WONDERFUL NOSE PHOTOS FOR THIS POST!

It became so difficult to choose from every gorgeous photo! So, we drafted in some help!

HELP was in the shape of a gorgeous doggy named LUNA!

LUNA went through the 1000’s of photos and with a little help from her human Olivia decided that these were the ones to publish!
