REMEMBERING WONDERFUL HARLEY – Rainbow Bridge Stories!
TODAY WE ARE WRITING THE BEAUTIFUL HARLEY’S REMEMBERING STORY!
We fell in love with HARLEY as soon as we saw his photo! After writing about him we fell in love a little more!
HARLEY was in fact Jackie’s third Staffy! We totally get it as we adore Staffy’s too!
This gorgeous boy was a delight to be with each day, he was such a laid back doggy with a heart of gold! He loved humans and he loved his cuddles!
HARLEY was a rescue dog who had been saved from being constantly tied up and not having the normal interactions all dogs need for their mental and physical health!
Even though he hadn’t been treated with love, he was able to trust and settle with Jackie within just a week – it was as if he knew that he had come across a human who was willing to love him unconditionally!
BEAUTIFUL HARLEY was surrounded by the love of humans but he never totally learnt to trust other doggy’s – something Jackie will never know why but understandably this is something to be delicately handled with Rescue Doggy’s! – They certainly have their own reasons!
At first when arriving at his wonderful new forever home, HARLEY was a little overweight from not having had the exercise he needed. However, his figure all became ship shape soon after beginning living a far more active life!
HARLEY found his new life with Jackie wonderfully stimulating and found some of his favourite things to do in life! One of the things HARLEY loved to do when he was not being cuddled by his adoring Mum, was to get in his pool – he loved both sunbathing and then having a cool down in the water! Living the dream HARLEY!
HARLEY was not a ‘toy’ type of doggy and we see this quite often with doggy’s who haven’t been offered toys to play with as a puppy! However, he loved his Bom Ball, which are brilliant for Staffy’s as they are almost indestructable! It’s so nice to hear that HARLEY did love his ball and that he would love it to be thrown and run for it like any other doggy!
He did have a Teddy and Teddy often got the best hugs ever!
We love the photo below! HARLEY loved his pyjama’s and would tell Jackie it was time for her to pop them on him! Well HARLEY you are certainly rockin’ the P.J. look here sweetie!
Daily routine was also important for HARLEY and he would love his two walks a day – Jackie told us that he would literally get ‘giddy’ from excitement when it was walkies time! Every day must have been so exciting for you HARLEY and our hearts here are melting at the thought of your love for life!
HARLEY also loved his car trips, loving just being with Jackie anywhere she went!
Jackie says ‘ He was a Mummy’s boy and comical’!
Having 3 staffy’s, Jackie told us ‘ I will never forget them! Always in my thoughts and my heart!’
HARLEY earnt his ANGEL WINGS just after his 10th Birthday! HARLEY’S story really does show how Rescuing a doggy can be the most rewarding thing in life! We are so happy he had so many beautiful days!
HARLEY is now enjoying his new adventures over the Rainbow Bridge and will be there to comfort and give cuddles to all the other doggy’s!
You will be so happy to hear that Jackie went on to Rescue another doggy called LEO! You may notice he is not a Staffy, lol but indeed a Frenchie who keeps her busy each day!
