FABULOUS PABLO – Not all doggy’s pass their GUIDE DOG exams!- you will totally fall in love!

OH MY GOODNESS! We have the absolute pleasure of being able to write a little story for the amazing boy PABLO!

BEAUTIFULLY HANDSOME PABLO!

Linsay sent us a wonderful photo of PABLO to our Facebook Page and mentioned he had been trained to be a GUIDE DOGGY! – Of Course we were excited to have his photo and wanted to know more!

We have learnt a lot from PABLO, things we had never even considered! One being that there are fabulous people out there who board Guide Doggy’s whilst they are in training – had you ever thought about this? – we hadn’t!

Linsay told us that before she had PABLO she and her family loved their wonderful Border Terrier called MAC. Sadly this lovely boy became ill and had to leave for his next adventures over the Rainbow Bridge! A lot of us can understand the grief and not entertaining the idea of having another doggy after we have lost our beloved fur baby’s!

Linsay felt this way but it wasn’t too long before she missed having a doggy around! She enquired about becoming a suitable Guide Dog boarder for the GUIDE DOGGY’S taking their training.

This was something Linsay had always thought about and after having to pass her own certain requirements needed to take on this position, she happily received her first boarder, a beautiful girl doggy called KIM. KIM was a Golden Retriever who stayed with Linsay for a month before passing with flying colours to be an official Guide Dog! After KIM, there was gorgeous USCHIE, a female German Shepherd who was not able to complete her training due to medical issues. Both KIM and USCHIE will always have a place in Linsay and her family’s hearts!

And then….. there was PABLO!

PUPPY PABLO YOU WILL MELT ALL OF OUR READERS HEARTS!

PABLO arrived as a boarder but also was unable to complete as a Guide Doggy due to medical issues! Now, PABLO had been boarding with Linsay longer than usual due to Lockdown! After being with PABLO for around 8 months the whole family had fallen madly in love with him! It was an obvious decision when he was unable to become a Guide Dog that he would stay with Linsay. PABLO has now been a family pet for 18 months and is having an extremely busy and fulfilling life!

Below you can see how surrounded by love PABLO is – photos show Linsay, her son and her Mum and Father-in-Law.

Linsay describes her beautiful boy as a ‘big softie’ and extremely clever! Being trained to help, PABLO still wants to naturally carry on doing so! – he brings in shopping bags from the car (oh my goodness! such a dream doggy you are PABLO!) – he carries Linsay’s husbands work bag when he comes home and also her son’s gym kit bag!

PABLO is really the dream doggy! He is so well trained, sitting beautifully at the kerbside, walking calming and just an overall obedient boy!

A SERIOUSLY DAPPER BOY!

LOVING LIFE TO THE FULL WITH DOGGY FRIENDS!

In the adorable video’s PABLO is swimming with PRINCE and in the second video playing with his new pal SMITHY!

PABLO loves everyone and everything! Linsay told us ‘ He helped my son with his mental health and is my shadow and confidante!’ This is so wonderful to hear as we truly believe dogs are our Angels in disguise! We also understand that not everyone loves dogs and that really is O.K. but every person in the World should understand the hugely important role they play for human mental health – without them it would be a far sadder World and for this reason they should be respected by all!

It’s interesting as Linsay told us that all Guide Dogs, even if failed, know they were Guide Dogs! So when PABLO meets another Guide Dog he will know that that is their role! Incredible!

This boy loves a whole list of life’s offerings – he loves long walks, playing with other dogs, his toys – which he scatters around the whole house and knows them all by name! He is such a bright boy! Having Teddy and Panda as his total favourites! He loves to just push his toys with his nose as he passes to make sure they are still squeaking and carry’s on walking. You can ask PABLO to make his toys squeak and he will do so with pleasure. He loves making them squeak when his Mum is on the phone! Lol……… (love this about you PABLO!)

Linsay says PABLO is a Loveable Rogue who also has a mischievous side. He is thoroughly content in life and just wants to be close or touching his family! He likes to think he is a lap dog – O.K. yes you have seen the size of this sweet boy!!!!!!

We are laughing at the next thing we have been told about PABLO – sorry PABLO if we are not suppose to know this but your Mum has told us now! ……. he drools while watching people eat but also knows that he probably shouldn’t be watching them eat with such enthusiasm and desire to have some of the food himself, so he just looks at people from the corner of his eye believing he won’t be spotted! PABLO is fully aware of his own dinner times – being from 4:30 – 5:00 – he begins to get a little unsettled and then moves close to Linsay staring at her as if to say ‘Oi, it’s my tea time, you ignoring me!’ Finally he pops his head on Linsay’s lap or a paw on her knee as if to say ‘Look at me, I’m speaking to you Mum!’

Oh sorry again PABLO, your Mum has also told us this and we are giggling still! – Linsay says ‘ the first time he farted, he looked at his backside and walked away in disgust! It was so funny!’

We can’t end PABLO’S story without a very heart felt message to the whole team from Linsay who dedicate their time to training doggy’s to be someone’s life changing GUIDE DOG!

LINSAY – ‘I thank the whole team and it’s a big team – from the staff at the breeding centre to ANNE PABLOS puppy walker who PABLO was still with up until he was 15 months old! The staff in FORFAR at the training centre, AMY his trainer, AUDREY the boarding co-ordinator and her team. All the kennel staff (they do an amazing job to change other life’s with these life savers of dogs!). Also the lucky people like me who either board or end up with a rejected or retired dog. I’d say that we are all proud to be part of their journey!’
