RESCUE GIRL BONNIE’S wonderful life in SCOTLAND!

Today we write about a very special little girl called BONNIE! She is cute, cuddly and simply adorable as you can see from her photo above!

Life for BONNIE initially must have been very difficult! She lived her first years of life within an unusual environment. There are some people who live with an illness called NOAH SYNDRONE – which sadly is a mental health disorder which esculates to someone keeping a higher-than-usual number of animals as their pets!

These people are very much attached to their pets but they cannot provide the care needed and so the health of the animals deteriorates – both physically and emotionally!

Gorgeous BONNIE was living this way in Romania and upon being rescued it was found that she had not been trained at all, which meant she would have to learn to do the regular doggy things like taking a walk, playing with a toy, forming emotional attachments to people! BONNIE had to travel from Romania before her new life would begin!

The wonderful charity who took care of her and found her forever home are called EUROPAWS RESCUE!

Living in gorgeous Scotland, it was Teresa who spotted BONNIE’S lovely photo on this charity’s Facebook Page.

Alan and Teresa before meeting BONNIE had to have their beloved doggy put to sleep so although Teresa thought that BONNIE could be a great doggy for them, Alan wasn’t sure to begin with!

Teresa and Alan sadly lost their Gizmo not long before visiting Bonnie so it was an emotional time for all!

However, the photo of BONNIE grabbed Alan’s heart and they both went to meet this sweet girl!

HOW COULD YOU RESIST! – BONNIE’S PHOTO ON THE FACEBOOK PAGE OF EUROPAWS RESCUE – EXPLAINING HOW BONNIE HAD BEEN RAISED AND WHAT SHE WOULD REQUIRE IN ORDER TO GET HER LIFE SKILLS UP TO DATE!

Alan and Teresa fell in love with BONNIE as soon as they met her and knew they would be able to help her lead her best life possible!

At first Alan explains that BONNIE although in good physical condition after spending time with Foster Carers, didn’t want to approach Alan – However, after patience and lots of love Alan, Teresa and BONNIE are now inseparable!

ENJOYING HER WALKS IN THE BEAUTIFUL SCOTTISH SNOW!

BONNIE learnt how to trust her new wonderful forever parents and also learnt how to recognise toys! It seems strange that a dog wouldn’t know what a toy is but we also had this experience with our own Chihuahua when we first rescued him! – Once understanding that toys were something to enjoy, this gorgeous girl became very playful and today absolutely loves being surrounded by them! She likes to take them all in the back garden with her! (you can see this in beautiful photo after video!) – This is so lovely to see!

GO BONNIE!

BONNIE NOW CERTAINLY KNOWS WHAT A TOY IS AND IN THIS VIDEO SHE SHOWS HER ENTHUSIASM FOR HER BALL! – WOW BONNIE YOU HAVE SO MUCH ENERGY IT IS WONDERFUL TO WATCH!
SURROUNDED BY HER TOYS IN THE BACK GARDEN! – WANNA PLAY!

It also took BONNIE a while to get use to a T.V. ( not having been around one before) – she gradually learnt that every doggy she heard wasn’t a noise to be alarmed by and that included any dogs that woofed on the T.V.

BONNIE today has a love of life and other doggy’s! She loves to play with other dogs and meets them on a daily basis for her walks. Her favourite game to play with other dogs is tug-o-stick, Lol, you can sort of guess what this is and Alan has sent us this fabulous photo of BONNIE and her doggy friend with the treasure they have found (i.e. a stick!)

OH GUYS THIS IS JUST SO ADORABLE! – BONNIE WITH HER ‘PARTNER IN CRIME’ – THE GORGEOUS OLLIE WHO IS A SIX MONTH OLD JACK RUSSELL!

BONNIE get’s so excited that she often zooms around being chased and then doing the chasing herself! You will love this next video, we have watched it many times now as so uplifting!

YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO WATCH JUST ONCE – JUST SO LOVELY!

Alan describes BONNIE’S character as ‘A Complete Angel’, she doesn’t like aggression of any kind and has even jumped into the arms of her doggy friends Mum (Kirsty) when hearing some other dogs bark each other down!

We asked Alan if there were any moments with BONNIE that he recalls that still make him laugh when he thinks about it! He told us ‘There’s been so many things that have made us laugh since we got her to be honest. The latest one being she brought home a fair sized stick this evening which I only spotted as we got to the door as she was carrying it with most of it sticking out the opposite side of her mouth that I was looking down at!’

This is such an uplifting story and we have so very much loved getting to know you and writing up your story!
