BLU FOUND HIS ‘FOREVER HOME’ – 14 month gorgeous STAFFIE!

Today we are writing a little story about the super gorgeous BLU – as you can see from his photos, he is very easy to fall in love with!

This lovely boy was a little too energetic for his first family. He needed a family who were able to embrace his lovely energy and lovely soul! BLU had spent most of his time locked in the conservatory as his then owners just didn’t know what to do with him! This led to lack of love and interactions which are obviously so important as a puppy!

Neil Mills who volunteers for DD’S DOG RESCUE (wonderful Doggy Charity – you can find their Facebook page here….. https://www.facebook.com/groups/ddsdogrescueuk was waiting to foster lovely BLU. However, he had to wait longer than anticipated as the original transport was unable to action BLU’S journey due to snowy weather.

BLU really needed to be at his foster home and it was Neils friend who was willing to go and fetch this gorgeous guy – he had to drive a 420 mile round trip which took a total of 9 hours! The love is really out there!!!!

WHEN BLU FIRST ARRIVED WITH NEIL HE WAS NOT A TRUSTING BOY!

After an initial ‘hello’ outside of BLU’S home, they began their journey to Neils. This was BLU’s first time ever in a car! In the car BLU was fine when the car was in motion although very anxious the whole way! Bless him! Neil was by his side the whole time and BLU was getting accustomed to Neil from the long journey!

Although BLU was scared and tried a little biting in the car, everyone arrived back with ‘no blood shed’ – way to go Neil!

After 14 hours on night one, BLU eventually decided to call it a night! He was exhausted from all the nervous energy he had towards Neil, the cushiions, duvets, pillows, coats, tables, mugs, glasses – more of less anything he could lay his paws on!

DAY TWO was very hard for BLU, he had to be taught how to interact softly in order for him to be rehomed. Neil had to be very firm with BLU as he was trying to just attack everything – believed to be from his lack of interaction with people and toys from a puppy! BLU just didn’t have the knowledge of how to behave!

THIS IS A VERY SPECIAL PHOTO! THIS IS NEIL’S BALCONY! IT’S NOT JUST A BALCONY – IT’S A PLACE WHERE IF A DOGGY REACHES, THEY ARE NOW GOING TO BE TOTALLY LOVED, ACCEPTED AND IN TIME WILL BE OFF TO THEIR ‘FOREVER HOME’ ! THESE PHOTOS OF THE ‘DOGGY’S ON THE BALCONY’ WARMS OUR HEARTS!

Neil is an experienced dog fosterer and with just the use of a harness and a 10 sec TIME OUT RULE, within just one day, the biting stopped! Working wonders here!

Blu soon learnt that biting and playing don’t come together and playing was in actual fact way more fun!

We know that Neil falls in love with each of the lucky doggy’s that get to spend time with him and BLU was certainly no exception! However, BLU needed to be with a ‘forever family’ and it wasn’t long before they came along!

BLU now lives a wonderful life with the KELLY FAMILY who totally adore him! His life is now full of love and adventures and we have been sent some of his photos from his lovely new family!

A VERY CONTENT, HAPPY AND WELL BEHAVED BOY!
