TO THE RESCUE G.B. – fundraiser finds CHERRY HER NEW FOREVER HOME!
We met the lovely Nancy when we noticed the beautiful doggy poem she had posted on our Facebook Page – BEAUTIFUL DOGGY SOULS!

We then found out that she spends a lot of her time running a wonderful doggy fundraiser ‘TO THE RESCUE GB’ – The team are MARIA AND TASHA and NANCY and together they raise much needed funds to help dogs in urgent need!
The fundraiser is a creative one, which of course we totally love – they collect unwanted items and sell them to people who do want them and the money raised is invaluable to doggy lives!

They also deliver bedding, food, toys, treats, collars and leads to the dogs desperately in need of homes. This is across the whole of the U.K.

We spoke to TASHA and told us how the fundraiser started.
‘The page started because so many people wanted to donate items to rescue, specifically during lockdown. Sadly, they couldn’t take them because of the virus and travelling restrictions.
The 3 of us have great contacts at many rescues and asked them direct if they would be happy for us to bring donations to them, which they were greatful for. Then, November 2021 the page was formed so that donators could visit one place to offer their unwanted items.

Our Fundraising goes straight to the rescues, vets, physios, other rescues on Facebook asking for help for example of a dog needing surgery, or a rescue has taken in lots of dogs that have been siezed from puppy farms.
Some of our donations that have gone to rescues have also been transported to foreign rescues.
We can’t thank our supporters enough, but do hope that we get many more to continue to be able to help as many animals as possible in rescue care.’
One of the doggy’s helped has been the very beautiful girl CHERRY. She was found and in a shelter and had only a limited time to go…… she needed urgent help so they travelled to Yorkshire to go get her!
They drove for 4 and a half hours to get to CHERRY, at the same time, they managed to donate to the other dogs, beds, food, toys, treats, towels, collars, leads and warm blankets! WOW! 2 birds with one stone! Amazing work!
CHERRY arrived at her foster home where she was totally loved, assessed and six weeks later she has now found her FOREVER HOME! Oh my goodness! WE ARE SO HAPPY FOR CHERRY!

This is Nancy’s daughter playing with another doggy they have just rescued. This mature boy is too old to have the surgery he needs but he will live the rest of his days now being totally loved! He will be given a bed fit for a King, the tastiest food, lots of toys and some wonderful walks!
