TAMMY’S STORY – life became so good when finding her forever home!

THIS IS THE STORY OF THE VERY BEAUTIFUL TAMMY.

The photo above is from her 11th Birthday!

As a puppy, she had only experienced neglect and abuse!

Luckily she was taken to a doggy shelter, one which Lenie, her now human Mum belonged to.

Lenie was asked if she was able to possibly foster this lovely puppy for the weekend – she remembers the exact time they called her, being at 7p.m on a Friday evening.

Lenie agreed to see if she could help this puppy for this short time, knowing that it may not be easy after all the trauma she had experienced. Following the call, this beautiful little girl was brought to Lenies house. She was so scared with her tail between her legs. She was around five weeks old!

One of the first things Lenie did for her was to give her a nice warm bath. Bath’s are very bonding and show a doggy you care about them! She was given a deworming tablet and some nice food!

TAMMY you have the most soulful beautiful eyes!

That first night she slept with Lenie in her arms the entire night – they bonded that evening!

O.K. so Lenie was the weekend foster parent of this sweet girl. The plan was to look after this puppy for this short time but then that she be found somewhere longer term. Lenie was the emergency weekend foster, or was suppose to be! You can see where this is leading!!!!!

After the weekend Lenie was advised there wasn’t a place for this sweet puppy to move to – so Lenie agreed to keep on fostering. The puppy now really needed to have a name and Lenie decided to call her TAMMY – such a beautiful name!

TAMMY followed Lenie everywhere and their bond became stronger. It was Lenie’s late husband who mentioned maybe they should adopt TAMMY because at this point they had developed love for her and they felt they couldn’t just move her about again.

So there we have it! TAMMY was adopted by Lenie and her husband.

This beautiful girl has now been with Lenie for 11 years and Lenie says ‘ I cannot explain my love for this beautiful girl. She is very attached to me also and doesn’t leave my side. She is very protective and I will give her the best life because she deserves it!’

TAMMY is totally loved. Here she is all tuckered up in her bed!

Oh my goodness, it is so lovely to hear that TAMMY found her ‘forever home’ and that the love beween her and Lenie is mutual. An emergency foster weekend turning to a forever lasting friendship!
