TEDDY’ STORY – Wonderful Foster Home to his FOREVER HOME!

ANOTHER WONDERFULLY UPLIFTING HAPPY ENDING STORY!

This is the story about how TEDDY, fostered and cared for by the very kind Neil – found his forever home!

We love stories about DOG FOSTERING and how they find their FOREVER FAMILIES!

Neil loves each dog he foster’s. When they find their forever home, each doggy leaves with the understanding that they are loved!

Written in Neil’s own words …..

‘This little guy is a ~2yr old Boxer cross.’

His start in life during lockdown was not the best! He was not prepared for the big world outside his home environment. He was put into kennels and from this he was scared by the other dogs for 3 days and he didn’t know what the poor boy had done!

After being found shaking and panting in fear, he was taken out of the kennels and with help from DD’s RESCUE https://www.facebook.com/groups/ddsdogrescueuk/?ref=share immediately transported to @Neil Mills, in Staffordshire U.K. On arrival TEDDY was not in a good way. NEIL said “Poor TEDDY was in such a state, confused, scared, hyperventilating. It took Teddy almost 8 hours to start relaxing”.

Calmed, fed, watered and toileted and after a few hours was settled and quiet enough to fall asleep at the end of the mattress which is where he stayed till the following morning. The vet was called and TEDDY was immediately booked in for a health check and the “Cone of shame” treatment (Neuter).

Over the next few days teddy was introduced to the world outside which included Neil having to carry him out to the fields and areas to run free which he really seemed to enjoy and once TEDDY soon learned that the LEAD meant fun, knew he could run and chase ball’s this really brightened up his walks. After a few more days realizing it’s fun to get out!

TEDDY was then at the Vets for his treatment and health check, we found he had a slight skin infection (white fur possible cause) and neutering, when he arrived home it was like he never been under the knife!

Full of energy and joy it was hard to keep him calm. Luckily his treatment was done at very high standard. TEDDY still has fear of new places and noises and hates the traffic, this is when his intensive training started, with slow and short walks along a main road – for a young boy he slowly learned the roads don’t hurt and how to react if he gets scared!

After his treatment and cleared health check TEDDY was put up for adoption and it did not take long for that handsome face to find his forever parents. They came to visit teddy and the immediate love in the parents eyes was clear to see. Went for a lovely walk and with teddy bouncing away enjoying his time with them. The adoption was secured and TEDDY is now living near BLACKPOOL with a beach and life that all dogs deserve!’
