BEAR’s STORY!

This is a beautiful story about a very wonderful doggy. BEAR is a fabulous AKITA doggy and his owners were finding it difficult to give him the life he deserved. BEAR arrived around his 9th Birthday to the rescue centre. He was lovingly handed over to Neil who then sought treatment from the vets to get him into top health!

Neil supports dogs by giving them a foster home until they find their ‘forever home’! With his love, patience and support the dogs are then all ready to be adopted. Neil at the moment has another super doggy with him and later we will write this doggy’s story too!

Gorgeous BEAR stayed with Neil @Neil Mills for ten weeks whilst recovering and searching for his forever family! In this time Neil himself fell in love with BEAR (seriously who wouldn’t!!)

BEAR at first struggled to come inside during the daylight hours until he learnt that he was wanted inside in the warm in the daytime as well as night. After he became aware that indoors was a place he could call home too he began to settle in wonderfully.

BEAR loved the balcony area, it was here he found his favourite spot. From the balcony, he would watch the world go by inquisitively.

The very best part of this story is that BEAR found his forever home with a family who adore him! Michael and Mandy from Norfolk have adopted BEAR and we can tell you that BEAR is very happy and healthy and we wish this lovely boy the best life ahead!

BEAR was a “diamond of a dog” says Neil. He was just so well behaved and everyone who came into contact with BEAR just loved him too. BEAR also was a little celebritity in the local Pub (brilliant!).

JAPANESE AKITA WELFARE TRUST. This excellent charity is most definately worth taking a look at as it is committed to helping this breed of special doggy. Donna Hartnell from JAWT was able to help Neil with the advice he needed to take care of BEAR – this was invaluable for both Neil and BEAR!
