WEDNESDAY 28TH APRIL
A very happy mid week to you! Thank you so much for tuning in!
This week we are going to concentrate on letting doggy charities know we are here!
This is the letter to explain to charities what we actually do – so if you know of any that will benefit from this please forward to them – thank you so much!
Dear Doggy Charity
We (being myself and my lovely Chihuahua JET who is the admin doggy for HAPPY DOGGY NEWS) have recently set up a ‘doggy newspaper’. It is a website where people can send in their doggy photos, stories and news. All stories have to have a happy ending so that our readers leave feeling uplifted.
From our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/beautifuldoggysouls which has been running for a couple of years now, we have raised money for a few doggy charities.
Apart from the social side of our website, the other idea is to be a platform for doggy charities or fundraisers to advertise for free. You can get an idea of how we have started by having a look at our website.
This is something which will always be free. However, we need to advertise in a story format. So, a short story on how your doggy charity or fundraiser has helped a particular doggy is a very good way of leaving our readers happy. When we publish your ‘happy ending’ doggy story we also pop a link to your website or page. We also show your logo to the front of the story.
What’s in it for us? I have worked for various charities over the years and became unwell around two years ago and had to rethink how I could contribute to the world. I started BEAUTIFUL DOGGY SOULS Facebook Page which I have enjoyed working on each and every day. I have found it to be very uplifting for many of it’s followers and have found many friends along the way.
The idea of running a newspaper/social doggy website has appealed to me for a while now and hey presto here we are!
If you would like to send us a short story about your charity, we would love to have it! It doesn’t need to be long; it just has to have a happy ending.
My background is working with young people with special requirements, activities and public relations for a dementia nursing home, marketing and photography.
Much love and Woofs
