BAILEY’S STORY – the wannabe celebrity !

Bailey is my adorable little Chi-Apso (or maybe it should be Lhasa-huahua), a five year old Chihuahua cross Lhasa Apso. She came into our lives in February 2016, three years after we lost my old girl Yasmin (a beautiful 16 year old Collie x Spaniel). After three days of emptiness, our home could remain dogless no longer !

My husband travelled to Swansea to look at some puppies and brought me a tiny bundle of white fur home. On the journey home, my husband noted that Bailey was so tiny she was unable to climb the slight incline of the back seats of the car !

Once home, Bailey settled in quickly, and soon became an inseparable partner in crime to my 7 year old son Tristan – an amazing achievement, as until then Tristan had been terrified of dogs. Yasmin and Tristan seemed to have an unspoken understanding to simply stay out of each other’s ways !

Now Bailey is my little internet and magazine star – I love nothing more than finding cute doggy clothes for her and trying to take imaginative photos. Of course, I wouldn’t do this if Bailey wasn’t game – but she seems to absolutely love it !

Any time Bailey wants attention, she’ll trot across the room to cry and bet at her clothes drawer. She’s learned that once that drawer opens, she gets’s Mum’s undivided attention (and also nice treat rewards for posing well).

So what do I do with all these pics ? Well, I send them to every ‘pet’s corner’ magazine feature that I can find – and every now and then a pic gets chosen and I get a little pocket money cheque, which is nice. And, what does that tiny extra cash get spent on ? More dress ups, treats and toys for celebrity princess of the house, of course.
